One of the most modern churches in the deanery, St Peter's was created as part of Lydd parish nearly 50 years ago to provide a place of worship for the rapidly growing area of housing that stretches along the coast from Greatstone down towards Dungeness.

Although a popular holiday area, there are many permanent residents of all ages, and St Peter's Church and Hall, at the intersection of Baldwin Road and Roberts Road, has become the community centre for the area.

There are services every Sunday which always start at 10.30 a.m..
During the week there is also 'Meeting Point' on Tuesday mornings which provides an opportunity for people to chat, enjoy refreshments, play cards or scrabble; and 'Drop In' on Wednesday mornings that attracts mainly young mothers and their children, although it is, in fact, for anybody who wishes to "drop in"!

St Peter's also have a couple of house groups and an occasional Alpha course for those who wish to discover more about Christian faith.
